Where a climbing course loses time

01

Sign-ups by email

Tuesday's intro course has eight places and sign-ups arrive by email and web form. Someone has to keep the list, send payment details and chase those who haven't paid.

02

Wet rock

An outdoor climbing day can't go ahead after a night of rain. Every participant needs to know before they drive out to the crag.

03

Who's leading tonight

Instructors each work a few evenings a week and the rota lives in a group chat. Nobody notices that an evening is uncovered until the course is about to start.

Courses and places

The course closes when the places are sold

Each course and climbing day has a set number of places that you choose based on your instructors. Participants pay when they book, and their place is held while they pay.

  • Places set by the number of instructors
  • Shoes and harnesses as counted add-ons
  • Student prices and discount codes

Instructors see who's coming and what they're renting

The day's list shows every course with its participants, rented equipment, comments and payment status. You put the instructors' shifts in the calendar and choose who leads which course.

  • Participants, add-ons and comments
  • An instructor assigned to each course
  • Close an outdoor day when the rock is wet

Payment

Courses paid on booking, companies by invoice

Participants pay by Swish or card, and the money goes to your own Stripe account. A company that books an evening for its staff gets an invoice from Denira, with reminders if it isn't paid.

  • Swish and card through your Stripe account
  • Gift cards for a climbing course
  • Invoices with reminders for companies

Common questions

How do we set places by the number of instructors?

You set the number of places per course and start time. If each instructor takes four participants and two are going, you set eight places and put both instructors on the course in the day's list.

Can participants rent shoes and a harness?

Yes, as add-ons in the booking. You enter how many shoes and harnesses you have, and participants write their shoe size in the comment field.

Can we sell punch cards or annual passes?

No. Denira sells bookings for a set time, such as courses and climbing days. Keep handling entry cards and memberships the way you do today.

Can participants sign a liability waiver when they book?

Not in the booking today. Your booking terms are shown when participants pay, and you collect signatures on site before the course.

Can a company book a whole course for itself?

Yes. You set up a private booking with one fixed price for the whole time, so nobody else can join. The company pays straight away or gets an invoice from Denira afterwards.
