Gift cards in a spreadsheet

In December, gift cards are sold over the counter and in direct messages. The codes go into a spreadsheet, and in March someone has to work out which ones are used.

The wreaths run out

The workshop has twelve places but only eight frames for a larger wreath. Whoever wants one finds out at the table.

The hen party in your inbox

A hen party of ten wants to paint on a Saturday in May. Date, numbers, bubbly and price go back and forth in messages for a week.

Places and materials

Places and materials are counted separately

Each workshop has its own number of places, and extra materials such as a larger wreath frame or an extra piece to glaze are added as extras with a limit. When the material runs out nobody else can choose it, even if places are left.

The day in the studio

Know what to put out on the tables

The day's list shows every workshop with its guests, chosen materials and comments. You choose who runs each workshop and close the studio on the days you're at a Christmas market.

Gift cards and payment

Gift cards sold online and redeemed in the booking

Guests buy a gift card on your website, and the recipient enters the code when booking a workshop. Everything is paid by Swish or card to your own Stripe account, and company groups are invoiced from Denira.

Common questions

Can a gift card be used for several bookings?

No. The whole value is used in one booking, and no balance is left over. Sell gift cards for amounts that match a workshop, so nothing goes unused.

Can a hen party book its own workshop?

Yes. A private workshop has one fixed price for the whole time, so nobody else can book in. The group can add extras such as bubbly or extra materials.

Can we sell a four-session course?

Not as one booking today. Each session is booked on its own, so participants book the four sessions one at a time.

Can we give a discount to newsletter readers?

Yes. You create a discount code and can limit it, for example by how many times it can be used.

Can guests tell us which colour or shape they want?

Yes, in the comment when they book. You can't add your own questions to the booking, but the comment shows in the day's list.
